We will not install any parts of charge for any labor until we have the full consent of the customer and they have agreed to pay the price given to them by one of our certified technicians.

What is the charge to come out and diagnose our appliance?

We charge a service call fee which will be waived at the time of the repair if the repair is done with us.

Is it cheaper to repair my appliance than to buy a new one?

Refrigerator Tips/Tricks

What should i do to keep my refrigerator running like new?

To get those dust bunnies out from under the refrigerator, remove the grill and run a yardstick covered with a pair of pantyhose underneath. Also check the pan of water under the unit, since it can hold unpleasant-smelling water
Keep your refrigerator at 37 degrees.
If you have a choice of location when remodeling your kitchen, keep the refrigerator away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

When should i replace my water filter?

Six months is an average, but can vary widely based on factors such as usage and flow rate expectancy.

My refrigerator's not running like it used to, what can it be?

Clean the compressor coils every few months or so. (The coils typically are at the bottom of the appliance, though on some older models they are behind the box and on some built-ins they are behind a grille at the top of the unit.)

Refrigerator Energy Saving Tips

Keep gaskets on the refrigerator and freezer doors clean with mild detergent and water, not bleach. This will ensure a good seal and prevent wasted energy.
Check the gasket seal by closing the doors on a dollar bill; replace the gasket if the bill falls out or can be easily removed without opening the door.
Be sure the refrigerator is level; if not, the door might not close properly. Most refrigerators have adjustable feet or casters.
Before you open the door to retrieve items, decide what you want. Every time you open the door, up to 30 percent of the cooled air can escape.

Dryer Tips/Tricks

If you shorten your dryer vent hose, your clothes will dry 20%-25% faster. This means saving money over the course of a year
We all know the importance of cleaning lint from the dryer vent trap. But many of those tiny holes in the mesh can get partially to completely clogged without your noticing. Dryer sheets can cause a waxy buildup. You need to give that mesh trap a good washing with warm soapy water every month. The dryer will run more efficiently
If you're in a hurry to dry a load of wet clothes, toss in a clean dry cotton towel. It will soak up some of the moisture, causing the clothes to dry faster. Larger loads might require 2 towels.
Always wash and dry dark clothes inside out to reduce any visible lint that might form on clothes.
Always wash and dry lighter weight clothes first. By drying those heavy items second, the dryer will already be hot, thus cutting your drying time.
Simply by placing your clothes in a plastic clothes basket a few hours before putting them in a dryer can reduce the drying time by 25%.

Dryer Safety Tips

A clothes dryer works by forcing hot air through a turning drum. Wet clothes placed in the drum are then dried by the moving hot air. It is possible for a full load of wet clothes to contain as much as one and a half gallons of water.

Lint is created from the clothes as the water is removed and the clothes dry. While much of the lint is trapped by the filter, lint also is carried through the venting system, together with moist air.

The accumulation of lint, both in the dryer and in the vent, reduces the airflow and creates a highly flammable fuel source.

In addition to the accumulation of lint, blockage in exhaust vents also can occur from the nests of small birds and animals or from bends in the venting system itself. A compromised vent will not exhaust properly to the outside. Overheating may result.

If enough heat is produced to ignite the lint itself or nearby combustible items, such as the clothes in the dryer or combustibles left nearby, the engineered safety mechanisms are compromised and fire ensues.

Since the introduction of the first electric-powered washer in 1908, washers have gone through many changes and improvements. Whether you have one of the shiny new washers with dozens of cycles from which to select or an older basic model, there are ways to get the best results possible.

My washer is making loud noises when washing.

My washer's hot water isn't working anymore.

When your washer's hot water is not working, it can be several different factors.
Check to make sure the hot water is working in your home.
Check to see if the hot water going to the washer is turned on.

How can i keep my washer running like new?

If your washer has a lint filter, clean it regularly. This will prevent odors and promote better water flow within the washer.
If you have just washed a load of clothes that faded significantly, clean the washer before doing the next load of clothes. This will prevent dye transfer.
Front-loading washers are prone to odors caused by mildew and detergent build-up. There are commercial cleaners that can be used. Or, some manufacturers recommend cleaning the washer each month by running a regular cycle with one cup of chlorine bleach to help reduce the risk of mold buildup. Check your owner's manual for their recommendations.
Top loading washer should also be cleaned regularly by running a cycle with hot water and a cup of distilled white vinegar. This will remove any residual detergent build-up and freshen the machine.
For both types of washers, leaving the door open until the washer is completely dry will help prevent odors and mildew growth. The washer should be dry within two to three hours.

Stove Tips/Tricks

You can clean any porcelain cooktop with a non-abrasive cleanser. Note: Don't pour the cleanser directly onto the cooktop. Instead, put some cleaner on a soft, damp rag, and then wipe the surface.
You usually need to replace the drip pans or bowls beneath the grates on a gas cooktop/range and beneath the heating element on an electric cooktop/range every 2 to 3 years. Once they're stained, it's usually not possible to clean them completely.
Never wrap your pans with aluminum foil because this can cause a shock/fire hazard on an electric cooktop/range and will disrupt the air flow for proper flame on a gas cooktop/range.
If your oven is self-cleaning, consult the owner's manual for instructions on how to use this feature. The self-cleaning feature works by heating the interior of the oven to a temperature so hot that it incinerates the residue inside the oven. The self clean cycle cost less in energy cost than the purchase of a container of conventional cleaner. Normally, it is not a good idea to clean the interior of a self-cleaning oven with a conventional oven cleaner; however, refer to your owner's manual or contact the manufacturer of your oven for further information. To clean a non-self-cleaning oven, use one of the many oven cleaners that are available at grocery and hardware stores.
